Fraser Grace grew up in Derbyshire in the English
Midlands, and worked as an actor and performance poet before
becoming a playwright. In addition to writing plays for stage and
radio, he is keenly involved with both opera and fiction.
Throughout, he is interested in people, and in the impact their
beliefs have on their world- and vice versa.

As you'll see from the rest of the site, Fraser is
the author of a number of successful plays for theatre, including:
Perpetua, Gifts of War, Who Killed Mr Drum? (co-written with
Sylvester Stein), Frobisher's Gold, and most notably
Breakfast with
Mugabe; originally produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and
winner of the John Whiting Award for the best new play of 2006. That
production transferred to the West End in May 2006, and the play has
continued to draw critical acclaim through more recent productions
in both the UK and US.

Summary
of Current Activities
Fraser is, writing an
opera with the composer Andrew Lovett called Don't
Breathe a Word. He is also writing a new play
and completing a first collection of short fiction,
entitled Wrestling Angels.

Fraser directs the
Writing Drama
course at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, and is an
Associate Writer with Menagerie Theatre, Cambridge.
